2013 in Photos
I (Cole) had a pretty spectacular year in 2013. Not only did I graduate High School, I did it six months early. Shortly after, I hit the road to begin working with the team, as well as thee one and only, Bryan Epps. 2013 took me to more states than the majority of the American population can name off the top of their heads. I'd like to take some time to show you some highlights from my year, as well as some of my favorite images. So kick back, grab a beverage, and enjoy!
My first of many journeys of 2013 landed me in Rockingham, North Carolina for the season opening ADRL (American Drag Racing League) event. Growing up shooting Outlaw Quick 8's and events like that, Outlaw Pro Mod type races are one of my favorite to shoot. That being said, being at ADRL races is like being at home.
Pictured above is the Camaro of Stanley and Weiss Racing.
When I snapped the shot of John Stanley and crew, I had no idea that later in the year they would become the fastest doorslammer on the planet! Congrats on the 5.64 guys, it sure turned a lot of heads.
After my trip to sunny North Carolina, I would return home to a frigid cold Ohio for a few weeks. In my time home, I of course had to hit up one of my favorite places on the planet. Ray's MTB Park of Cleveland, Oh is an old warehouse filled with some of the coolest mountain biking and bmx related things one could ever ask for. As a kid, I always loved BMX and that passion has carried through to my career as an action sports photographer. Every chance I get, I always go shoot at some sort of skatepark. If you are in the Cleveland area, Ray's is a must!
Above is my good friend, Reed Boggs, doing a Tailwhip on the infamous Kenda Hip.
When it came time to leave Ohio again, I would then head to San Antonio, Texas for IHRA (International Hot Rod Association) Nitro Jam. This race would be my first time working with Mr. Epps, and it was a blast. Below is a shot that has meaning to any motorsports photographer. My first Top Fueler from the starting line. There is nothing else on the planet that compares to the ground pounding, chest punching, nitro belching 10,000+ hp monsters!
Bruce Litton at San Antonio Raceway.
One day after returning home to Ohio, I hit the road with the guys and gals of Higg Racing. This trip took me to South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, Georgia, where I would crew on the wicked 1957 Bel Air of Larry Higginbotham. Higg competes in the bone rattling Pro Modified category of the ADRL.
After SGMP, the year is kind of a blur. So here is 21 of my favorite images from throughout 2013!

I hope you all enjoy these photos, I know I enjoyed shooting each and every one of them. I could have gone on for a while with photos, but since this was last minute, I decided to keep it relatively short. As for 2013, this is the final day of it, and I hope everyone has a prosperous and safe 2014. I know my year with be filled with action!
Until next time,
stay classy America!
